Another
fine newly-tooled kit, the 1955 Chevy had all the right stuff for a great club project.
If I remember correctly, 24 went out and 26 came back. One extra was treated
with the SAE April-Fools spoof product, “Clearview 2000”, to remove those pesky pigment molecules from the styrene,
leaving it crystal-clear and ready to be painted from the inside. Like a slot-car
body. Oh. Is that what it was?
Another
year, another wagon. This time, I kept the engine bay mostly box-stock but ended up winding a carburetor and suspension
springs and adding a few other details. A divot appeared in the roof a few years later that I pretend is from hail damage.
